All the Signs Point to Voting Day

This morning I accompanied my 19-year-old son to the polling place for his first time participating in the electoral process. "Whatever happens over the next four years," I told him, "you're now partially responsible. Congratulations."

I had to laugh at the entry to the voting machines. There was absolutely no doubt we were in the right place.

A Silly Sign Spotted at the Ren Faire

My son and I hit the LV Renaissance Faire last weekend (and had a blast, BTW). This sign was propped up in one of the vendor booths amongst the knives and leather pouches.

Whoever thought up that one gets an A+ for effort!

Some Silly Signs for a Friday Afternoon

On a recent trip to Disneyland (during which we celebrated my birthday by getting one ticket for free - YAY!) my son and I indulged in one of our favorite pastimes: finding stuff that's meant to be serious but is just downright silly. You'd be surprised how much of that there is at the big D. (Or maybe you wouldn't, seeing as you're a smart bunch.) Here is photographic evidence of two of our favorite things:

No Dancing on Dumbo!
This sign was actually on every ride, but we first noticed it when we were up in the air on Dumbo, which made it even funnier.
